Keepsake keeps wishlists. This page says, in plain words, what is stored when you use it, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.
What we keep
- Your account: the email address and name you sign up with.
- Your lists: their names, the theme they wear, and every item you save, which is the name, link, picture, price and any note you write.
- Whether a list is shared, so a public link keeps working.
What we don't keep
Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider, never written down by Keepsake. We do not ask for and do not store payment card details, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
Why we keep it
Only to run the app: to show your lists back to you, to read a product page when you paste its link so the picture and price fill themselves in, and to keep a shared list reachable for the people you sent it to.
Shared lists
A list stays private until you share it. When you do, anyone holding that link can see the list and its items, so share it the way you would share the list itself. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working.
On your device
A small preference is stored in your browser so the app opens in the look you last chose. It stays on your device and is not used to follow you around the web. We do not run advertising trackers.
Who else sees it
Our hosting and database providers hold the data on our behalf. When you paste a link, that address is sent to the shop's own page to read its title, picture and price, exactly as your browser would when you open it. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not hand it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Your lists stay for as long as your account does. You can delete an item or a whole list yourself and it is gone at once. To close your account and have everything removed, write to us through the contact page.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. We answer those requests at the address on your account.
Children
Keepsake is meant for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly keep data on children.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and we tell account holders by email.
Getting in touch
Questions about any of this go through the contact page, and we answer at the email address you leave.
